The basket is overflowing with projects....
..and yes I started knitting Christmas presents...
What's next on the needles?

This summer I have been following Jon on some of his hikes and have climbed a few 4,000 footers.
I love the vivid greens of the nature surrounding me and the smell of pine trees. The air now feels crisp and it was even very cold and windy yesterday on top of Mount Carrigain.
I love being away from (almost) everything and everyone.

Counting on my fingers: 1, 2, 3... 3 months without vox. I really don't like spending time in front of the computer anymore, that is after hours, since I spend my work hours staring at the !@#$%^ thing.
In 3 months, winter has gone, the tulips have come and gone, the backyard is snow free again, Betsy is getting married in a few days.... Life is just passing by.
I started running again, then stopped (mild injury), I stopped knitting then picked it up again this week, I focused more on reading and writing.
I left my old job almost 6 months ago, it feels like an eternity.
I (finally) found a cure for my health problems.
And this weekend I will be wearing a pretty dress.
Really this post is just an excuse to show you my bosom (I like the word bosom).

Just relax, imagine yourself in a stress-free environment. Just let yourself go.
There's no one there to tell you're not doing enough, that you're not smart enough.
Smile.
Take a deep breath.
I am there already. Or so it seems.
And even if it lasts only an instant, it was worth it.

...went well.
I loved being treated like a princess (OK that won't last).
My coworkers are all very nice, especially my dear Gab.
I love getting free food (OK, stop that now, or start running EVERY MORNING).
I even have a little badge with my name on it so I can open doors!
I finally entered the 21st century.
My head is spinning with all the info I have to learn in the next couple of weeks.
Oh and I really need to decorate my very ugly cubicle. I miss my lovely (but messy) office at Old York.
But I have no regrets at all.
More some other time, am off to bed!

It feels really warm this morning, 61 degrees in the house. No need for heat (well, according to my standards). I can always wear my new "chauffe epaules" (more info on ravelry) -or "ultra short poncho:"
I was hoping to be done with this earlier in the fall. Maybe we'll have an Indian summer now?

I left my job, we have a new President. J'ai quitte mon boulot, nous avons un nouveau President.
Quoi d'autre? What else?

I am confident that my friends and family will make the right choice tomorrow. As I have been very lazy and haven't applied for citizenship yet (despite living here for 15 yrs, being married to an American citizen, etc, oh and paying taxes and social security, thank you very much), I won't get the chance to cast my vote tomorrow. And I can only blame myself. I am happy though that my friend Kelly is back here just on time to vote (and you know who to vote for, Kelly!).
I will be "just" a spectator tomorrow. I will listen to the radio, watch the only channel we get, and hopefully will celebrate when it's over.
I am confident.
On a different note, totally different note, these two songs have been in my head today. Wonder why....
More later....
